Angela grew up just outside of Austin, Texas in a little town called Round Rock. Okay, it’s not so little anymore, but being part of that small community was an important part of Angela’s childhood. As ‘small town’ as this girl could have become, Angela has also traveled around the world. She lived in New Zealand and traveled extensively in Australia, Malaysia, Singapore & Europe, which gave her exposure to a multitude of perspectives and ‘hometown’ ideals.
Today, Angela’s sense of community is something she relies on both professionally and personally. Relationships with neighbors and friends keep Angela busy. As a mother, working close to home and being active in the community are important aspects for both Angela & her husband, Rick.
A licensed Real Estate Agent and Broker (CA) for over 17 years, Angela’s real estate career began in San Diego in new home sales. From there, she started working as a realtor for Coldwell Banker where she and her partner were always the leading sales team in the office, winning the highest award each year for sales volume. She then co-founded Kindred Real Estate with David Rudd in 2013 and merged the team with Keller Williams Realty Carmel Valley. In 2022, Angela and Rick again collaborated with David Rudd and Anthony Montroy to expand Kindred Real Estate Group to DFW. What that means for those in DFW?
When Rick retired from the US Navy in 2016, they took a leap of faith and moved to Frisco, Texas with the dream of opening an indoor playground and café for children. In 2016, Jungle Joe’s opened and that dream became a reality! Sadly, due to COVID, Jungle Joe’s was permanently closed in 2020. Angela, alway being the entrepreneur, was excited to jump back into her passion of real estate & join Korin Binder of the Binder Team as the Director of Sales and Business Development. Angela’s community spirit, professionalism, and commitment continue to drive her; with her years of business experience and expert knowledge in all aspects of real estate.
Anthony has a MBA in Marketing from the University of California, Irvine, one of the top public school MBA programs in the country. He has worked for companies such as Bank of America and HP. Prior to earning his MBA Anthony worked for the FDIC as a federal bank regulator.
There are a lot of good agents in San Diego, so I have to work that much harder to be the best agent for you. I started by obtaining educations most agents simply are not willing to dedicate the time to do – becoming a broker (highest level), a licensed real estate appraiser, general contractor and have personally flipped homes. I understand lending from my years in banking – the youngest AVP at Bank of America. Today I have put together a team that meets my high standards. Raised in Florida and California, Rick understands and appreciates the many unique benefits of life in North Texas with its unmatched scenery, culture, and amazing restaurants! Rick has knowledge in all aspects of the real estate process with his start in the Military as a retired Navy Chief Petty Officer, responsible for over 120 sailors and doing multiple Submarine Operations for more than 21 years, preceding his success in buying and selling real estate. Educated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management, Rick is a very active and connected community member in Frisco, and also a valued member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of North Texas.
